So, as I mentioned a few entries back, I bought a Polaroid Land Camera from 1975, I managed to get some compatible Fuji Film...It's been far harder figuring out the use than I thought it would be. Focus, colour balance, and all has been a great confusion. I'm starting to understand how it all comes together, but my first endeavour with instant film (not including the ever popular I-Zone camera I took with me everywhere in grade 5) has been fairly fussy.

Here are some of the first. Sorry for the quality of scan.
This was my very first attempt. I actually don't mind it.

I also had a rollerblading accident lately. Fractured my elbow and broke my wrist, so shoots are out of the question for a little while, sadly. Time to get planning and editing!
I got a purple cast though!

More Cassie

Some more shots from the shoot with Cassie.
As I said before, I used some lighting I've not tried before...though I'm not quite sure how I feel about the spotlight style flash images...
I do need to differ my style a little though.

Anyway! Enjoy.

I got together with the gorgeous Cassie recently for a shoot. It's the funnest when there's no one to please but ourselves. I played around with a few somewhat different lighting set ups than I've used before (some of which will be more evident when I upload more images).

This is the first so far. I have far too much fun with longer exposure.

We used some great Thomas pieces. Hand shredded tanks and tunics which I adore. Also some neat Biko and Toodlebunny jewellery. (Thank you Nokomis)
More to come very soon!

Ad for Nokomis in See!

I did a shoot for wonderful Nokomis a little while ago with Brooke. Here's a bad photograph of the ad Nokomis ran in SEE for being voted best women's independent clothing store in Edmonton.

Here's the actual ad.
Go to the Noko blog for more info!

A little delight in Levi Dunford

A while back I got together with my good friend (and artist) Levi.
We had a little impulse photoshoot/portrait session. I played around with long exposures and we did pretty much what we felt like.
It's due time I posted some of the pictures.

Since then I've been spending a fair bit of time with him, have had the pleasure of being about as he creates, and of being introduced to some wonderful people. One of which is Edwin Tuts who's invited levi to be part of an upcoming show.
I figured links and such were in need of being shared!
It will be on May 22nd from 10am to 6pm at Immigration Hall
10534 - 100 st
as Levi states "There will be art for sale/auction,
40% of proceeds will be donated to the Hope Mission

There will be around 20 artists with work to display"
Here are some shots of the artist at work.

He's just started a blog. Check him out:
